Abstract (EN)
In this thesis work, the preparation by spin coating technique and optical characterization have been aimed of coronene organic semiconductor thin films. The optical properties of the coronene thin films have been examined using the spectrophotometric measurements of absorption, transmittance and reflection in the range of 200-700nm wavelengths. Two pieces of characteristic absorption peaks of films have been obtained at 250 and 300-310nm. It has been seen that the films have a transmittance from 85% to 98% and a reflectance from 11% to 8,5% in the visible region. The film images have been taken using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with magnifications of x1,000 and measured film thickness 2.11μm and 7.54μm for 3x100μl and 10x100μl samples, respectively. Two main peaks have been observed of coronene at 2θ=9,400 using x-ray diffraction analysis. As seen from XRD results, it has been detected that the coronene film with thickness of 7.54μm given smooth homogeneous coating and severe peak. This attrtibuted to better dissolving of coronene solution. On the other hand, the film thickness have been supported the XRD and SEM results.
