The role of organizational culture in forming organizational dissent: A comparative analysis between domestic and international trading firms

With this thesis, it is aimed to answer how the perception of organizational dissent is shaped within the concept of organizational culture In this study using quantitative research methods, 319 white-collar private sector employees working in national and international trade companies in Düzce province were surveyed. In the SPSS 18.0 program, the correlation analysis and T-tests were performed, while the data were analyzed in a multiple regression with path analysis in the AMOS 23.0 program. As a result of the path analysis, it was found that the adhocracy culture which is one of sub-dimensions of the organizational culture has a positive effect on the constructive articulated dissent which is one of sub-dimensions of the organizational dissent but the negative effect on the latent dissent. While the hierarchy culture has a negative effect on the constructive articulated dissent, but the pozitive effect on the latent dissent. The effects of market culture on the constructive articulated dissent is positive. When the sub-dimensions of the organizational culture are compared in terms of the firms national and international trading, it is found that the cultural dimension of adocracy and hierarchy varies according to the type of commercial activity of the firms. When the sub-dimensions of the organizational dissent are compared in terms of the firms national and international trading, it has been determined that the firms of the latent dissent differ according to the type of commercial activity of firms.
