These behaviours are referred to as unethical pro-organizaitonal behaviors. Individuals with organizational commitment are more likely to engage in unethical pro-organizaitonal behaviors. But it is believed that individual interests, the form of commitment in the organization and the desire for status, as well as Machiavellian personality traits, and the leader's attitude to the employee, can change the strength and direction of this relationship. For this reason, the study examined the influence of calculative commitment on unethical pro-organizaitonal behaviors, status desire (Machiavellian) and moderated mediation effect of leader-member exchange. The theoretical framework of the research is based on the theory of social exchange. The theory of social compensation entails that the opportunities provided by the organization to its employees are satisfactory and that in return the employees feel responsible to the organization and carry out a set of benefit-based actions. This study was conducted using the quantitative research method in accordance with the purpose of the study. The survey was used as a data collection tool. The surveys were sent to the participants through an online form. The data obtained through online survey forms were analyzed using the structural equivalence model. The data obtained through online survey forms were transferred to the computer environment using the SPSS 22 program and the SmartPLS 4 program was used to analyse the data. The findings of the study show that the interaction of individuals with leaders in marketing and sales activities in the workplace has negatively affected the indirect relationship between calculative commitment and u unethical pro-organizaitonal behaviors, and this interaction has been mediated by the desire for status.
