Abstract (EN)
In this study, the presenteeism problem in organizations is discussed in the context of Generation Y, and the relationships between presenteeism, organizational communication and psychological empowerment are aimed to be determined and the effects of organizational communication and psychological empowerment variables on presenteeism are aimed. For this purpose, data were obtained from 304 Y generation members working in five star hotel enterprises operating in Istanbul and Balıkesir. The data obtained; frequency, factor, t-test, anova test, correlation and mediator variable regression analysis. As a result of the research; while significant differences were determined between some demographic variables, negative relationships between presenteeism and organizational communication and psychological empowerment were determined. In addition, it was determined that organizational communication has mediating variable role in the relationship between psychological empowerment and presenteeism.
