Abstract (EN)

The objective of this thesis is to determine the influence of organizational values on the phenomenon of cyberloafing within the banking sector. To this end, a questionnaire was distributed to bank personnel aged 18 and over residing in Istanbul, using the organizational value differences and cyberloafing scales. A total of 393 individuals consented to participate in the survey. Twenty questionnaires were excluded from the analysis due to inconsistencies and outlier values. A total of 373 individuals participated in the research. The data were analyzed using the statistical software package SPSS 25. Several statistical techniques were employed in analyzing the data, including explanatory factor analysis, t-tests, anova, correlation, and linear and multiple linear regression. The results of the study demonstrate that the high uncertainty avoidance dimension has a significant impact on personal transactions, while the feminine values dimension has a notable effect on information acquisition. Furthermore, the high uncertainty avoidance and feminine values dimensions have a pronounced effect on leisure time, with the feminine values dimension also exerting a discernible influence on profit-making. Additionally, the high uncertainty avoidance and feminine values dimensions have a notable impact on the level of cyberloafing. The objective of this study is to provide a useful contribution to the academic literature on the subject.
