Organizational change and applicability of six sigma management model in Turkish Football Federation

The main aim of the research is to implement Six Sigma Management Models and Tools in Turkey Football Federation. 24 competitions which made in 2012 and 2013 constitute the sample of research that Turkey's National Football Team considered to represent the best of the Football Federation of Turkey. The TÖAİK method was used in this study. Statistical analysis of survey data IBM SPSS 18.0 for Windows, Minitab 17 and Sigma Plot 13 statistical software packages were used. As statistical techniques Brainstorm, fishbone, chi-square correlation analysis, spearman correlation test, multiple correspondence analysis, process capability analysis and control charts were used which was the six sigma tools. The numerical values obtained were tested p<0.01 and p<0.05 significance levels. As a result of the research; a statistically significant correlation was found between the competition result of the National Football Team Turkey with game system (p=0.04), the FIFA World Ranking (p=0.02), shot on goal rate (p=0.03), positive defence rate on first zone (p=0.00) and positive defence rate on second zone (p=0.00). Also a statistically significant correlation was found between the game system with goals allowed (p=0.01), the game system with positive defence rate on first zone (p=0.02), positive defence rate on first zone with goals allowed (p=0.00), positive defence rate on second zone with goals (p=0.01) and goals allowed (p=0.02), positive central attack rate with goals (p=0.00), positive long passes rate with goals (p=0.01), positive short passes rate with goals (p=0.04) and yellow cards with golas allowed (p=0.04).
