Abstract (EN)
The aim of my study is to reveal the effect of resident doctors working in university education and research hospital on organizational trust perceptions of organizational commitment. In the research, data were collected from 114 residents from Sakarya University Education and Research Hospital. The 22-item organizational trust scale developed by Omarov (2009) and adapted into Turkish. Meyer and Allen (1993)developed the 18-item organizational commitment scale, validity and reliability of Turkish was adapted by Gürkan (2006). Descriptive statistical methods, independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. According to the findings of the study, trust in the organization; it had an effect on Emotional Commitment (R2 = 0.199), had an effect on Normative Commitment (R2= 0.237), and had an effect on Organizational Commitment (R2= 0.153). There was no significant difference between marital status, gender, age, department (basic / internal / surgery) and duration of experience in terms of organizational trust and commitment. The β coefficient (0,391) showing the effect of trust in the organization on organizational commitment is positive; Trust in the organization explains 15.3% of the organizational commitment. The β coefficient (0.446), which shows the effect of trust in the organization on emotional commitment, is positive; explains 19.9% of emotional commitment. The β coefficient (0.418), which shows its effect on normative loyalty, has a positive effect of 23.7%. As a result, it was found that physicians who have special education in medicine have a positive impact on their trust perception, organizational commitment, and have an effect on normative and emotional commitment from sub-dimensions of commitment in accordance with the literature.
