Abstract (EN)

It is a fact that job stress has become one of the most important problem affecting the performance and life of the organizations. In the researches, it is concluded that stress is one of the most common health problems related to work. If the life cycles of organizations are compared to the life cycle of a living organism, it ages after a while, its development and growth stops, and eventually dies. This slowdown and stoppage can be overcome by intrapreneurship. Thus, the lifetime of the enterprises can be extended. Therefore, intrapreneurship should be supported and obstacles should be removed. Job stress has an important place among these obstacles. The main aim of this study is to measure the relationship between organizational stress and intrapreneurship. There are not enough studies on these two variables (job stress and intrapreneurship) in both national and international literature. Therefore, the main objectives of this study are to contribute to the literature and to reach useful, inspiring and applicable results for scholars and practitioners as well. In this research data was obtained from 229 participants who works for the same insurance company by using the survey technique. From the demographic characteristics, employees' positions and the time spent in current job position in the company significantly differentiate organizational stress perceptions and intrapreneurship. A low-level negative relationship was found between job stress and intrapreneurship behaviour. In addition, all sub-dimensions of organizational stress are significantly correlated to intrapreneurship. Keywords: Organizational stress, job strain, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship
