Structure and theme in Orhan Hançerlioğlu's novels

Orhan Hançerlioğlu (1916-1991), one of the productive names of Turkish literatüre reflected society and its problems to his readers from various frameworks in his narratives. Major problems are the difficulties of city life, the livelihood difficulties of the villagers, and criticism of the çivil service and the deteriorating family structure. Having worked in various regions of Turkey caused him to reflect the points he observed and criticized in his novels. Another important element in Orhan Hançerlioğlu's novels is that he blends his novels with the different disciplines in which he is interested and produces Works. His use of different disciplines has allowed the reader to look at his novels from different perspectives and evaluate them in this way. In this case, it was an important point that enriched his novels beyond structure and theme. It is seen that Hançerlioğlu generally does not keep his novels very long. The reason for this, as understood from the interviews, is not to bore the reader and not to distract him from the novel. For this reason, his novels are not very voluminous. Lawyer, researcher and writer Orhan Hançerlioğlu is a person who has eight novels, stories, literary writings, philosophical studies and dictionaries. The purpose of this study is to indicate the place and value of Orhan Hançerlioğlu in literature, rather than being known only for his works in philosophy. The study consists of theree main parts. In the first part, the author's life, literary personality and Works are included. In the second part, his eight novels were examined under the title of structure and theme. In the third chapter, eight novels were tried to be diccussed in terms of language and style. In the conclusion section, the study was concluded by making a general evaluation.
