Syntax analysis of Orhan Pamuk's novel Museum of Innocence

Language is the most important means of communication, reflecting people's feelings, thoughts, dreams, and impressions. People can more easily convey their life experiences to others through language. This possibility is only possible with the existence of literary works written in that language. In this respect, literary works written in a language reveal its full richness and allow for the examination of the nuances of language that have developed over time. Therefore, studies on syntax are of great importance today, and literary works that reveal the richness and raison d'être of language are utilized. This study analyzes the novel *The Museum of Innocence* by Orhan Pamuk, Turkey's first Nobel laureate, from a syntactic perspective. Examples of word groups, sentence elements, and sentence types are examined, and the analysis of these sentences is conducted according to the syntactic rules of Turkish. The study attempts to reveal how the author uses word groups, sentence elements, and sentence types through the sentences identified in the novel. The examples from *The Museum of Innocence* are classified according to word groups, sentence elements, and sentence types. The study is structured into four sections: The first section outlines the research's purpose, significance, scope, and methodology, along with information on the author's life, works, and a summary of the novel *The Museum of Innocence*. The second section attempts to explain word groups, illustrating them with examples from the novel. The third section examines sentence elements, providing examples from the novel. The fourth section presents sentence types and concepts, illustrated with examples from the novel.
