The understanding of holiness in Orkhon Monuments

This study, which I prepared as a master thesis, is called "The Understanding of Holiness in Orkhon Monuments" is the first written texts of the Turkish language and its history from the second period of the Göktürk state. In our thesis, the contentsof texts has been examined within the scope of the phenomenon of holiness.In the introduction part,information about the history of II.Göktürk was given. İn the first chapter, the brief information about Köl Tigin, Bilge Kagan and Tonyukuk was presented and the history and alphabet of Orkhon Inscriptions were explained. İn the second chapter, in Old Turkish religion and Orkhon monuments the elements of faith,the concept of holiness and symbols of holiness has been examined.The first Turkish text which the Turkish name is mentioned, in this resource in the axis of the holiness phenomenon, uncovering what kind of carrying problematics will provide that the state order of the Turks and their struggle to ensure this, regulation of relations between state and nation, and the the steppe rituals of the Turks customs and traditions, and also understanding of the relationship between faith and the sacred.
