Occupational healt and safety risk analysis in forest products industry: Case of Artvin province

Occupational health safety is better understood every year as it makes the working environment safer and more efficient with the measures taken. In our country, businesses operating in the furniture and wood industry have an important place in terms of occupational health and safety as they are in the category of businesess with high accident risk. It is highly probable to encounter situations that can cause serious injury or even death if precautions are not taken against situations that may pose a danger in such enterprises. With this study, 4 types of enterprises operating in the medium-sized furniture and wood industry located in the center of Artvin province, by applying the L Type (5X5) matrix method, by conducting an analysis study and surveying the personnel in the enterprises, to determine the hazardous situations that may arise during the activities of the businesses, it has been determined that what type of measures can be taken.
