Abstract (EN)
Total quality management approach is a management style which human factor takes over, adopts constant improvement and enhancement, focused on group actions in enterprise and quality response expand to all employees. The aim of total quality management is to provide constant and perfect service to customer with the employees who are well-educated and highly motivated.In this study, some properties of total quality management activities (customer orientation, leadership of management, full participation, systematic process analysis and humanistic approach) applied in forest products industry were examined and effects of these properties on factors affecting employee performance (stress, motivation, environmental factors and job satisfaction) were investigated. For this purpose; a questionnaire was applied to 377 engineers and foremen who work in 14 large scale firms which have ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate. Questionnaire data was evaluated with Structural Equation Model made in SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 16.0 statistical package software and the results were presented.It was determined that customer orientation approach has significant and positive effect on employee?s motivation and environmental factors. Humanistic approach has significant and positive effect on job satisfaction and environmental factors. Leadership of management has significant and positive effect on employee?s motivation. Job satisfaction has significant and positive effect on motivation and environmental factors has significant and positive effect on stress. Furthermore; it was observed that enterprises have ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate is not determinant on its own however; performance of employees, working in enterprises appropriated total quality management, was higher. Both present enterprises which have humanistic approach in management and forest products industry enterprises need to involve in a serious attempt.
