Abstract (EN)

3 fi in /in /i a n\/ ouiviiviaaK 1 Within this study, the teratogenic effects of the antimicrobial agent Ornidazole from the 5-Nitroimidozole group was assessed. For this purpose, 3 groups that were injected with 40-80-160 mg/kg of pure Ornidazole and the control group that were injected with physiological drips were left pregnant. For mice that were left pregnant, on the 6th to 16th day of their pregnancy, the sibling were brought to life through a Caesarean operation and were dyed with Alizarin Red S on the 18th day so as to observe whether or not their conducted, whether in terms of observation or stereomicroscobic scans for the skeletal development, no significant congenital abnormality or bone development abnormality was found. It was only assessed through the fact that no teratogenic effect was met with siblings born dead or with skeletal development flaws that Ornidazole could be used as an antimicrobial with safety through out the pregnancy period after the 1st trimester. Until recently, Ornidazole was theoretically assumed to be structurally similar to Metronidazole since it was not assessed in experimental studies. Our research has exhibited that Ornidazole is safe as an independent teratogenite. And this in terms is accord with the firm's statement and the limited literature stating that Ornidazole is not defective when used starting of the 2nd trimester. Our study is capable of being the first text to be carried out in this respect. Key Words: Ornidazole, Teratogenite, Mice.
