Abstract (EN)
Medieval Europe has had a different appearance for every society in every respect. In medieval Germany, the Ottonian Dynasty was of great importance. Tenth and eleventh centuries witnessed the development of this dynasty. Everything related to art that emerged during this period has been called the "Ottonian Renaissance" or "Ottonian Art". First of all, it is seen that there was a religious Renaissance during this period and that clergy shaped the period under the name of the imperial church system. The clergy were quite active in art and architecture. In addition, the renovation of monasteries with monastic reform is remarkable. This period is also very rich in art and architecture. During this period, it is seen that many manuscripts, ivory and bronze works appeared. The aim of this study is to explain the events and understanding of art in the Ottonian Dynasty, the important people who left their mark on the period called Ottonian Renaissance, the effects of both kings and emperors and Otto Renaissance architects on German history, and to introduce the Ottonian Renaissance.
