Impacts of radical movements in the Middle East on the interstate relations: Salafi – Wahhabi example

Middle East becomes the one of the most complex regions in the world today. In order to understand the events taking place in the Middle East, it needs Salafism to be understood which is an important fact in the region. This study, exclusively represents the religious, historical and cultural fabric of the Middle East geography as well as deals with the impacts of the Salafism, which is located in the centre of the international relations discipline, to foreign policies of the goverments in the Middle East. In this study, there are four chapters ride along with the introduction and conclusion chapters. At first chapter, the Middle East, which is the geography that the Salafism idea revived from, is explained. It's been considered briefly in this chapter in order to understand the Salafism idea with its historical, geopolitical, religious and cultural aspects. In the second chapter, its historical and philosophical substructure and after explained what is the Salafism in the context of important names dominate to this idea, it's been mentioned Wahhabism and Muslim Brotherhood movements which are the two different aspects of this idea in the present day. In the fourth chapter, it's been considered the reflections of the Salafism to the international relations in the Middle East. In this chapter, firstly the routes of the Salafism - Shiah conflicts and the reflections of these conflicts to the present day, after that, Wahhabism, which started to rise at the period after the Cold War, and with its terrorism relations, and lastly the Muslim Brotherhood which started to rise during the Arab spring, examples have been explained.
