Abstract (EN)

The research was carried out at the commercial sea bass farm in the district of Samsun province Yakakent at the Çam Gölü region between June 2008 and November 2008. The growth performance was investigated according to the method of feeding until saturation in the cage system. At the end ofexperment total weigth, increase of live weigth, rations of werght increment, specific growth rate, condition factor and feed conversion rates were calculated.250 thousands of sea bass with a mean 7.04±0.44 cm length of and 4.00±0.08 g with mean live weight of were, stocked in the two cages, as 125 thousands. The temperature was determined as minimum in June and October with 18°C and maximum in August as 27.7°C during to the experimental period. Mean fish length and total weigth were reached to ratio 21.98±0.11 cm and 130.72±2.05 g, weigth increase was found as %111.80±34.01 and at the end of experment. Mean Specific growth rate was found as %2.50±0.56. The condition factor was changed between %1.05-1.26 and found mean as %1.20±0.03. Feed conversion rate was calculated mean as %0.95±0.02.As a results, the sea temperature is suitable for sea bass culture in the Black sea and recommended that fish may be feeded up to satified.Key Words: Sea bass, Dicentrarchus labrax, central of Black Sea, live weigth, growth performance
