Özet (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine whether female school principals and female school assistant principals working in high schools have transformational leadership characteristics compared to teachers working in secondary education (high school) institutions, and to examine whether there is a difference in the transformational leadership perceptions of female principals in the context of teachers' demographic characteristics. The average values of the scores given to transformational leadership items are higher, followed by traditional leadership and laissez-faire leadership. Female participants' perceptions of transformational leadership are higher than male participants' perceptions, but the differences are not significant (p>0.05). Single participants' transformational leadership perception levels are higher than male participants' transformational leadership perception levels (p<0.05). Although transformational leadership levels are higher for associate degree graduates and lower for doctoral students, these differences are not statistically significant (p>0.05). The differences between transformational leadership perception levels according to age are statistically significant and are highest in participants aged 25 and under, followed by those aged 26-35 and 46 and over (p<0.05). According to professional seniority, transformational leadership perceptions of participants with 5 years or less of experience are highest, followed by the group with 6-0 years of experience and the group with 11 years and above (p<0.05). The perception of transformational leadership is at the highest level in those with 5 years or less of school experience, and it is at the lowest level in those with 11 years of age or more (p<0.05). When the results obtained in the research are evaluated in general, it is seen that the perception of transformational leadership characteristics of female managers does not differ according to gender and education level, but varies significantly according to marital status, age, professional experience and school experience. Therefore, it can be stated in the research that the perception levels of transformational leadership characteristics of female managers generally differ according to demographic characteristics
