Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this Thesis was to research the different approaches of secondary teachers to their students in Istanbul Sancaktepe location, teachers from high schools who worked for the government and private schools took part in this thesis. Research is a quantitative model based on survey. The researched group was made in 2014-2015 education year in Istanbul Sancaktepe from different schools groups, 285 teachers took part in this survey from this county. In this research to be able to indentify multi-cultural attitude of high school teachers, it is ued a scale called OCTU which is translated by yazici vd (2009) and which is improved by a group of reasearchers in the leadership of Joseph G (1998). For demographic specifications it is applied a personal information form prepared by the same reasearcher. The details gathered after being inserted to SPSS programme, it is used and analysed Key-Square analyses together with the percentage, frequency calculations and tables. Once the findings of the reasearchers are analysed it is found that high school teachers have a great percentage of positive view to multi-culturalism in education. As a result of key-square analysis it is found that statistically there is a significant difference in the multi-cultural approach according to of high teachers of the selected groups, Sex and education status for some points of the reasearch. There is no significant difference according to age, career and school difference variables. Keywords: Teach, multi-culturalism, multi-culturalism education, differences.
