The effects in obtaining target values of reading passages, poems and anecdotes in education of religion and ethics books of middle school 5-8 grades

This study aims to determine the harmony between target values in Ministry of National Education curriculum published in 2010 and reading passages, poems, anecdotes in Education of Religion and Ethics Books of Primary Education (5-8). First of all, sub learning domains such as "Faith, Prayers, Hz. Muhammed, Koran and Its Interpretation, Ethics, Religion and Culture" are targeted to be understood. After that, the correlation between subtitles and target values in learning domains of sample books is interpreted; contents of supportive factors in education such as reading passages, poems and anecdotes are criticized within the context of teaching approach. To be more apparent, there are two kinds of conceptualizing in the study: values, which existed in 2010-published-curriculum and were aimed to be obtained by the students, are named target values; reading passages, poems and anecdotes are called supportive factors. While searching, several points are taken into consideration such as the harmony between learning domains, subtitles, supportive factors and target values; the unity of value teaching approaches and supportive factors and constructivist approach that situates students at the centre of learning. Conclusion and recommendations are listed at the end of the study.
