The aim of this study was to determine the level of secondary school 7th grade students' ability to reach geographical concepts. The research was carried out in 5 secondary schools located in the center of Manisa Demirci district. These schools are 75.Yıl Elementary School, İmam-Hatip Secondary School, Fatih Secondary School, Makine-Kimya-Hüseyin Çamtepe Secondary School, Ziya Gökalp- Nurettin Kelem Secondary School. The study included 394 students attending the 7th grade in the 2018-2019 academic year of the mentioned schools. Descriptive method was used in the research. The measurement tool to be used in the study was developed by the researcher and examined by an ethics committee. This scale consists of 40 questions to determine the level of social studies. The answers received for each question from students were marked with appropriate categories, frequency (f) and percentages (%). Thus, it was tried to reveal the levels of being educated in the social studies course program.
