Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was investigated whether there is a relationship between the 7th grade secondary school students' learning styles and the associating skills the science subjects to daily life. The study was carried out in 2012-2013 academic years between the 7th grade secondary school students who study at the city, towns and villages of Giresun. As data collecting tool, learning style inventory developed by Kolb and the associating with daily life test developed by the researcher were applied to students in the study. The data were analyzed with SPSS 15.00 statistical packet program statistically. According to the obtained data it was determined that there is a significant difference between the students' Learning Styles (LS) and the associating with daily life test scores (p< .05). It was determined that there is a significant difference according to accommodator and divergent LS in favour of converged LS. Also there is a significant difference according to divergent LS in favour of assimilator LS. Furthermore effect sizes values of students' LS on associating with daily life abilities support this situation.
