NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS İN NEW TURKISH LITERATURE

Civil society organizations are legal entities formed by more than one person to overcome different obstacles. In this study, the leading literary organizations that existed from the II. Constitution period to the present are identified and examined. Since the period between 1908-2023 is examined periodicals and the memoirs of artists are taken as the main sources. The annuals/magazines/bulletins published by civil society organizations as publication organs are specifically scanned. The announcements, news and activities sections on the websites of the legal entities examined are used as sources during the study. In addition, living artists are contacted in person and their information on the subject is sought. This method has been used more recently while existing (living) civil society organizations are being examined. The study is directly and indirectly related to many subjects. Therefore, a template/field is created in the introduction to better understand literary institutions. In the main part of the study, literary institutions that exist in contemporary Turkish literature are examined under three main headings. Categorization is made under subheadings within the main headings. The civil society organizations that are evaluated in these classifications have been examined chronologically under that main heading. The establishment of the civil society organization in question, its board of directors and purpose, the literary events it organized and its publications have been evaluated in detail.
