A research on the writing anxiety of secondary school 7th grade students

Writing is one of the learning areas of Turkish course. Writing, as a narrative skill, is the skill that the students have the most difficulty in acquiring, so they are most concerned about it. The aim of this research which is about the writing area of Turkish Education is to determine and examine the writing anxiety and it's causes of 7th grade students in the middle school in Afyonkarahisar. For this purpose, a mixed method which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research design has been used in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting the data. The research has been carried out with the participation of 7th grade students who were studying at Abdurrahim Mısri Secondary School, Osmangazi Secondary School and Şemseddin Karahisari Secondary School in Afyonkarahisar city center. In the study, quantitative data has been collected by Writing Anxiety Scale ", and qualitative data have been collected by half structured interview form. While analyzing quantitative data, SPSS package program has been used, and content analysis has been used in the analysis of qualitative data.
