The effect on academic success of formulated t-shirt method for teaching scientists' studies in middle school science course

The aim of this research is to investigate whether there is a significant difference on academic success between the students in experimental group who have used formulated t-shirt method and in other class branches who haven't been intervened. Quasi experimental method has been used for research method. The study has been conducted with 27 students in 6th grade who has worn T-shirt as experimental group and other 49 students in other class branches who have been no intervened. Not only the achievement test, pre-test and post-test of scientist, but t-test, informative observations, student and teacher interviews have been also used with 20 t-shirts in the data of the research. The pilot study of the developed achievement test has been applied in another school and item analysis of the test has been done. According to the findings of the research, significant differences have been seen by evaluating the last test results of the experimental group and interviews having been done. It has been observed that the achievements which are desired to be gained with the formulated t-shirt method have been adopted by the students and they increase their success.When the test results are evaluated, providing learning by linking with materials such as T-shirts used as a ground on the human body also contributes to learning techniques such as peer learning, active learning and social learning in terms of visuality and integrity. These materials, which are developed with the formula t-shirt method, are also a source of inspiration for researchers in terms of usability in other areas and subjects.
