The evaluation of musical perception and information learning area acquisitions in secondary school music education curriculum according to educators'views

In this study, learning outcomes towards musical perception and acknowledgement in Secondary School Music Curriculum were examined in terms of teachers' opinions, suggestions and thoughts of the teachers participating in the research about the learning outcomes in the field of learning were tried to be determined. Thus, it was tried to determine the applicability of the acquisitions included in the curriculum regarding the Musical Perception and Acknowledgement which is an important aspect of music lessons, and it was tried to be understood whether it is possible to use effectively in the education process. Within the scope of the research, the scale, which was developed after examining the learning outcomes in the curriculum, was process in the form of tables in line with the responses sent to the music teachers who wanted to participate in the research, and findings and comments were reached from there. The research was carried out according to the screening model and the results were reached by interpreting the data collected through interviews. As a result of the research, the learning outcomes in the music curriculum were found appropriate in terms of teaching principles and techniques, but it was concluded that it would be beneficial to review them. In addition, in the curriculum for the learning area subject to the thesis, some findings such as the rate of time allotted for activities is insufficient in terms of the difficulty of learning outcome and sufficient efficiency, the ranking in the learning outcomes should be phased out and it would be appropriate to relate to the previous learning outcome, it needs to be reviewed and improved in terms of grade levels, it is a very difficult learning area because it contains abstract knowledge and basic skills, and it is suitable for the use of different materials and tools were reached. The research is thought to be contributive to similar studies and supportive to other teachers' studies about learning outcomes.
