Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the statistical significant difference between middle school students' attitude towards water and gender, school type, class level, educational status of mother and father and the type of parent profession. Survey is used. The population of the study is limited to middle school students studying in Fethiye district of Muğla Province in 2019-2020 academic year. The sample consisted of 892 (439 girls and 453 boys) students studying in randomly selected private and public schools in Fethiye, Muğla. The data were collected in the fall semester of the academic year 2019-2020. In the research, "Personal Information Form" and "Water Attitude Scale" were used as data collection tools. The t-test and ANOVA statistical processes regarding the collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 26 package program. The findings are that gender affects water attitude in favor of men in a statistically significant way. There was a statistically significant difference in favor of public schools as a school type, and in terms of the education level and occupational type in favor of 8th grades in terms of grade level, there were significant differences between the students' water attitudes and these variables.
