Abstract (EN)
The one of the reforms in the 19. century is related with the civil servants. After accession to the throne of Abdulhamit II personnel records of the civil servants was started to be kept by means of the foundation of Commission for the Personnel Records. In this study the biographies of 157 civil servants from Giresun in register of Commission for the Personnel Records were searched. By this way position and importance of civil servants from Giresun in Ottoman bureaucracy would be better understood. Finally this study would lead the researches in local history and family history.
