Abstract (EN)

To make a new brand, corporation has to have a visual identity which separates it from the other brands. The logos, which are one of the corporation?s identificational elements, can be described as the visible power of the corporation or brand. This power is the sign of trust which is given to customer by the corporation or brand. To get this power, designers have to foreground and make the brand effective by making very original designs and permanent logos.Nowadays, traditional Turkish arts from the Ottoman?s period can be seen almost everywhere. The existence and value of the Ottoman art is known in all over the world. As being designers of the new generation, it is our duty to keep this cultural value alive. Us, designers, who give new visual identities to the corporations, have to keep traditional Ottoman motifs alive by adapting them in new generation?s designs. We also have to adapt these artistic values to new designers.Graphic designers make their designs by using their own genres, generally after making researches about the brand?s goal, mission and targets. Of course, the logo which will be designed for a brand has to be harmonic with the feasibility work. But sometimes, visual identities of the very famous brands are designed by using very different places of exit. This is why, when we design a brand logo by using the Ottoman motifs, the brand doesn?t have to make an art-work or any work connected. At the practice level of this work, it is proved that the educational management in a university can design logos by using figures from Ottoman motifs.Key Words: Logo, Brand, Brand?s Visual Identity, One Of Ottoman Period?s Motifs-Tulip.
