Abstract (EN)

Mosul province in Iraq, one of the most important places in the Middle East region, has been under Turkish rule for centuries. Especially after the adoption of Islam, the Mosul-Kirkuk region was an important center during the Turks' making Anatolia their homeland. In this respect, the Mosul region is of great importance in terms of Turkish history. The historical geography, land characteristics and administrative structure of Mosul were also important during the period when it was affiliated to the Ottoman State as a province. In this study, with the help of Arabic, English andTurkish sources, information has been given about the administrative structure, historical geography of Mosul province between 1878-1918 under thead ministration of the Ottoman Empire, and about the sub-provinces, towns and towns, especially Kirkuk, which is connected to Mosul. Many studies have been done about this period of Mosul in Turkey, Iraq and the West. In this thesis, the socio-economicsituation of the Mosul province wasre considered by making use of modern studies in different languages. Key Words: Ottoman, Mosul, Ottoman, Iraq
