Abstract (EN)

One of the many reforms made in 19th Century was about state officials. After second Abdülhamid come to the throne, many state officials were tecorded by founding sici-I Ahval commission in 1879. There are nearly six thousand bigorophical files that belong to religious scholors in ottoman Empire. These files commonly belong to religious seniors such as, Kadı Naib, Müderris, Muallim, Dersiâm ve Vaiz These registration files contaın various information such as name of the person, place and date of birth, educatıonal information, official duty and written pieces if available. In this study, taking place in Sicil-iAhval records biographics at 59 religious scholors from Maraş are investigated so, it is tried to introduce the place and importance of religious scholrs of Maraş in Ottoman bureauuciary This study aims to contribute to the researches about Maraş's native and famıly history.
