Abstract (EN)
This study covers the logistics organization of the Ottoman Army, the performance of this organization and the development and change of the logistics organization between the periods. In the light of the data and documents obtained from the primary sources such as General Directorate of State Archives of the Department of Ottoman Archives Headquarters, Topkapi Palace Archives and General Staff Military History and Strategic Survey and Supervision Presidency Archive the development of the logistic activities since the establishment of the Ottoman Army and its changes in terms of adaptation to the requirements of the present age have been discussed. In the thesis prepared in three sections; In the first chapter, Logistics concept, Military Logistics and Logistics Principles were examined. In this way, the factors underlying the fact that the Ottoman Army had the best logistics organization were shed light on Logistics Science. In the second chapter, in order to better understand the concepts mentioned in the provisions of the archive documents and the logistic organization established within this scope, the administrative structure of the Ottoman State in general terms, the military system of military and food logistics of the army and the organization of the army have been mentioned. In the third chapter, the supply materials from the past to the present day have been classified and procurement of classified supply materials, transport and all other logistic activities before, during and after the expedition andlogistic activities of the Ottoman Army in various periods have been examined in the light of archive documents.
