Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the original copy of Turc 130 in the Bibliothèque Nationale, which was prepared by François Savary de Breves, was studied. Before dealing with the content and transcription of the work, the political conjuncture of the 16th century Europe is emphasized and the relations between Sultan Süleyman and François in the first quarter of the 16th century are evaluated. In the first chapter of the thesis, information regarding the personal story of François Savary de Breves is narrated through secondary resources available in the literatüre, specifically on the role of his embassy in the Ottoman State. The effort to develop Ottoman French relations is emphasized. In the second chapter, the evaluation of Turc 130 and its value especially in terms of the 16th century Ottoman-French relations are discussed. Many political and economic documents in Turc 130 are assessed in detail. Afterwards, important titles about the content of the work are formed and the work is analyzed from various aspects. Besides, exceptionally crucial ahidnames of 1569, 1581 and 1597 are under examination in this chapter. In the third chapter, the transcription and the summary of Turc 130 is presented.
