Abstract (EN)
In this research, it was aimed to measure the level of interactional behaviours of mothers and fathers with their childwho is autistic and 36-72 months-old, to examine educational back ground of the mothers (n=12) and fathers (n=12)within their interaction levels with their child in mother-child and father-child interaction, and to evaluate the possible opinions which may vary due to child's gender and probability of autism in child. In this descriptive survey study, the participants were 12 parents who have a child with autism within 36-72 months- old age range. The data were collected through video records of interactions among mothers, fathers and children. Parents' behavior The Maternal Behaviour Rating Scale – Turkısh Versiyon (MBRS- TV; Diken, 2009). The data were analyze dusing a statistical program. The results showed that the parents who have a child with autism had low interactions scores in the subscalses of sensual expressive and responsive- interactional behaviours. Their scores in the subscale of guiding and success-oriented interractional behaviours were high, meaning that they are extremely success- oriented. It was not found a note worthy difference among the variables of probability of autism in child, children's gender and mothers' educational background in mother-child interaction; probability of autism in child, children's gender and fathers' educational background in father-child interaction.The research findings were discussed within the frame of researches carried out about interactional behaviours of mothers and fathers with autisticchild, and conduct of advance researches was recommended in this respect.
