Abstract (EN)

The objective of this study is to reduce the cost of the steam which is used in industrial plants. In this system, the coal was mixed with air by pulverizing into the boiler and thus it was aimed the nut-sized coal to burn efficiently in coal-fired steam boiler designed. Besides the thermal and strength calculations of the system have been done. One of the most important advantages of the system is able to reach quickly steady state operation conditions of steam boiler. All kinds of coal could be burned in this system after grinding properly but the coal with the high ash content isn?t suitable to be combusted in this system. High combustion efficiency is obtained by burning of the coal at bottom-mixer stoker system. It is released from the unburned nonpersistent gases when the nut-sized coal is rising upward at stoker by absorbing heat to get ready to burn. While these gases rise in the boiler, they meet with pulverized coal and burn. Thus, the boiler combustion efficiency is increased and an extra advantage is provided.KEYWORDS: Pulverization, Automatic Coal Stoker, Coal-Fired Steam Boiler, Nonpersistent gases
