Abstract (EN)

In this study, a diesel engine operated with no load (without any power transmission) at different engine speeds (2000 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3000 rpm, 3500 rpm) by the engine exhaust from the exhaust waste as waste gas energy production potential has been investigated. It is understood that the energy that can be obtained has an important potential for the environment and because it provides extra power. The results obtained from the experiments and the results obtained from the mathematical calculations were compared and the potential of the energy obtained to charge the vehicle battery depending on the voltage and current was investigated. According to the results of the experiments, a maximum of 3,56 V voltage and 0,39 A current were obtained by using 4 thermoelectric generators at 3500 rpm and 72 thermoelectric modules were needed to charge a 12V 40Ah battery. When the experimental results and mathematical results were compared, 5% of output voltage-load resistance graphs and 7,69% relative error were obtained in current-load resistance graphs.
