Abstract (EN)

Sheet metal materials which have a wide usage area in automotive industry can be produced by various forming methods. Produced parts should be within the required tolerances considering the place where they will work. Some problems are encountered in obtaining these tolerance values, and the most important one is spring back. In this study, the spring back behavior of the U-shaped parts, which are frequently used in the automotive industry, were investigated numerically and experimentally. The spring-back behavior was investigated; 1; 1,6 and 2 mm thickness, different quality sheet metals (DP450, DP600, DP800, DP1000), 5°, 10° ve 15° die clearence and different die punch radius values (R6, R8, R10, R12, R14). In order to compare the DP (dual-phase) sheet materials and to make the spring back measurements, a finite element analysis program (Autoform) was used. In the light of these parameters, experimental and numerical differences are shown graphically. As a result of the studies, it was determined that the experimental and numerical results were close to each other and the amount of spring back changed according to the parameters.
