Abstract (EN)

In this research, wear testing has been performed on the wear tester, which I designed and prototype using aluminum alloy samples of Etial 177, Etial 140, Etial 171, which are highly preferred and easy to obtain in the automotive industry. Tests were provided for 1000 N, 5000 N to rub samples against hardened steel disk for 800 and 1200 rpm. The samples were weighed by the precision scale and the weight losses resulting from the test were detected. To calculate the coefficient of friction, the load cell is placed against the direction of rotation and the force that is having influence is measured. Temperature variations on the surfaces are determined by measuring every minute at a distance of 20 cm with a infrared thermometer. As a result of experiments, wear and friction load, temperature, alloys of materials used, number of revolutions, it has been concluded that lubricants are directly dependent on variables such as viscosity. The alloy Etial 140 with the highest wear resistance and the oil that reduces wear to the most smooth has been detected as a 20W50 oil.
