Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out on the examination of the Viewpoints Technique, one of the acting methods, on the use of this technique in the preparation phase of an actor's rehearsal. The formation process of this dance theory, which emerged with the ideas of postmodernism in the historical process, was started through Mary Overlie, who first introduced the technique, and an examination process was put forward. Then, based on some of the ideas that overlap with the approaches of Stanislavski, Grotowski, Peter Brook and Barba, its emergence as an acting technique is explained by expanding its framework by Anne Bogart. After examining the exercises related to the Perspectives suggested by this technique and determining their objectives, the analysis of an existing case study on the use of the technique in the stage of preparation for acting practice and rehearsal is completed. In this process, research questions such as whether the exercises achieved their goals and their creative contribution to the actor's persona; in the conclusion, after evaluating the technique in the context of its contribution to an actor's persona and play rehearsal, the study is completed by creating a discussion area on its place and validity in today's theater understanding.
