Examining the moderating role of self-efficacy beliefs in the relationship between glass ceiling perception and job satisfaction: An application in the banking sector

The aim of our research is to determine whether employees' self-efficacy beliefs play a role in the relationship between glass ceiling perceptions and job satisfaction. In this context, a survey was conducted with 210 people working in banks operating in Yenimahalle, Çankaya and Ulus districts of Ankara. SPSS 28.0 package program and Lisrel program were used for the statistical analysis of the research. T-value was used to detect differences in group means of variables, and ANOVA method was used to compare the separation of more than two variables. The LSD multiple comparison method was used to determine which groups had a significant difference in the findings obtained by the ANOVA method. Pearson explanatory analysis was used for the distribution analysis between glass ceiling perception and job satisfaction, and Hayes Macro Model 1 was used for the role analysis of self-efficacy. The research results showed that self-efficacy belief played a role in the relationship between ceiling perception and job satisfaction. These research services contribute to the policy and activities of creating explanations and strengtheners of employees' self-efficacy perceptions, thereby ensuring compliance with their job satisfaction, allowing both the workforce to get a high level of efficiency and the employees to feel job satisfaction as their self-belief efficacy beliefs grows. It also paves the way for further examination of self-efficacy as a strategy in business in the future.
