Özbek halk masalları (Uzbek proverbs)

In this study, Uzbekistan Folk Proverbs (Ğ.Ğulam Edebiyat ve sanat neşriyatı, Taşkent 1989. Derleyenler: T. Mirzayev, B. Sarimsakov, A. Musakulov), which was published in the series of Uzbek Fold Invention, has been examined.The study is composed of two main parts. In the firs part, the work has been examined. The proverbs collected from various resources were defined and the formal features of the proverbs were examined. Then, the proverbs in Uzbek Turkish were compared to those in Turkey looking for concordance among them. Finally, the examples of sequential sentences were given. In the second part, the proverbs were translated from the Cyrillic to Latin alphabet and then transferred to Turkish. In the work under research, there are vowels: ``a, ä, å, e, ı, i, o, ö, u, ü?? and among these vowels, the ?o ?ö? and ?u ?ü? sounds have similar pronunciation. The ?a? sound has three different pronunciations: back (a), central (å) and palatal (ä). Besides, the ?x? sound pronounced as fricative ?h? was transcribed as ?h?.In the work, there are proverbs whose definitions we could not find or about whose definitions we had some hesitation. Such proverbs were marked with question marks.The work is composed of seventy different parts. In this study, the first forty parts of the work have been examined due to the limited time.
