The anaysis of concept of burnout level and relations between personality traits on candidate teachers who educate special education

The objective of this study is to examine relations between burnout level and personality traits and examine burnout level according to some variables. Study is a descriptive research and the participants are composed of 111 studens who are attending 4th grades. Datas were collected at Abant İzzet Baysal University. "Personal Information Form" , "Burn-Out Scale" and "Draw a Tree Test" were used to obtain the datas. Desciriptive statistics, T-test, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney U Test techniques were used in analysing the datas. In analysing tree drawings, pictures were interpreted via interpretation norms of tree drawing test and compared with their burnout level. According to the research results, burn-out degrees of attenders did not show any different results into gender , age and academic accomplishment. It was observed that there were relations between their burn-out levels and personality traits. In general,pictures of girl studens were drawn more detailed than pictures of boy students. Also there are cultural elements in pictures. According to subscales of burnout scale and pictures which were drawn by students , it is found that there were relations between burnout level and personality traits. Pictures of participants who have low burnout level are bigger, psitioned effictively and drawn more detailed. The results between burnout level and draw a tree test wew found significiant and it is emerged that in determinig burnot level, tree drawing tests are important.
