Collaboration between stakeholders in the education for individuals with special needs: A model proposal

The aim of this research is to determine the views of stakeholders responsible for the education of students with disabilities regarding the current collaboration, to conduct a needs analysis of an online platform to ensure the collaboration of stakeholders in line with the views of stakeholders, to determine the design principles of the online platform, to design and develop the online platform according to these principles and to examine its usability among stakeholders. In line with this purpose, the research was conducted with a design-based research approach. In the design-based research process, following the needs analysis, the research process was completed in three cyclical phases: evaluation of the first prototype, evaluation of the second prototype and evaluation of the final product. There were 26 participants in the needs analysis phase of the research, 5 participants in the evaluation of the first prototype, 12 participants in the pilot implementation and 11 participants in the evaluation phase of the second prototype, 11 participants in the implementation phase and 97 participants in the evaluation phase of the final product. The research was completed with a total of 151 participants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and the Website Usability Scale and System Usability Scale. The data obtained were analyzed through content analysis and descriptive statistics. Following the needs analysis and cyclical evaluation processes, the design principles of the online platform were determined. The results of the study revealed that the online platform prepared for the collaboration of stakeholders responsible for the education of students with special needs can be used in the collaboration process.
