Abstract (EN)

In the 21st century, many people are displaced due to wars, climate events, health crises, economic crises, shelter, etc. In 2011, millions of people were forced to migrate to other countries due to the ongoing war in Syria. Turkey has been one of countries most affected by this war as it is a neighboring country and is on the transit route to European countries. Hundreds of thousands of refugees with special need (RSDs) have arrived in Turkey along with the migrants. It is considered important what kind of problems they experience in inclusive education processes in Turkey. The aim of this research conducted in this direction is to identify the problems experienced in the education processes of the RSDs in Turkey as a result of the teachers' experiences and opinions to put forward solution suggestions based on their experiences. Due to the subject matter of the research, it was conducted with the phenomenology approach, which is one of the qualitative research designs. Teachers who work in different provinces of Turkey and have students in the status of RSD participated in the study. The research data were analyzed with Nvivo 12 program. Within the scope of the research, the problems experienced by the teachers in the education of the students with RSD and their suggestions about those problems were revealed. It was concluded that teachers had communication problems with RSDs and their families, RSDs had difficulty in receiving support services, Turkey did not have a policy regarding RSDs, and teacher qualifications and curriculum were not the answer for RSDs. It is expected that the findings obtained within the scope of the research will contribute to the improvement of the educational processes of the RSDs.
