Relation between learning styles and cognitive flexibility with examination achievement who enter the special ability exam

Music education is a special ability required area. In Turkey, music education programmes are key resource of this area. Per annum, in the time of summer, this programmes evaluates, musical aptitudes, ability, knowledge and level of the behaviour with special ability examinations.Thanks to this, future music teachers selected and at a future educate. In this context, sub-dimensions of examination achievement there is how they have a learning style and which level of the cognitive flexibility to achieve tought that must be important. Individuals learning to commit, which way they use, manner and which style ,will give details about preparation and examination achievement, also impact their professional teaching aptitude and their musical learning process.Additionally, individuals be aware about solving problems, entering and searching alternative ways and controling this case the ability to control the level of, in otherwords, searching how to investigate whether cognitive flexibility is thought to be an important issue.Thus, in this study, the music teacher education program the special aptitude test learning styles and levels of cognitive flexibility with the success of examination of the relationships between we aimed to investigate. Screening model in this study, students of exam success with cognitive flexibility and learning styles, as well as the relations between the some of the individuals personal features and relating to the musical life based on the available information, this information exam with success, and learning styles and the relationship between levels of cognitive flexibility is also examined. This research's study group consists of 2013-2014 education period who entered Education faculty of Music Education special ability examination (N=449). To candidates Personal information form, Kolb Learning Style inventory Version-III and Cognitive Flexibility inventory was applied. The examination and the success of the placement of the main points to Inonu University, faculty of Education database has been reached.The data obtained using the SPSS 17.0 processed package, and analysing is made with this programme.To determine the situation of normality to the normal distribution curve, skewness-kurtosis coefficients, and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results have been dealt. To make relational analyses; Pearson product moment correlation coefficient, Chi-Square test, t-test for independent groups, one-way ANOVA, Welch test, Scheffe test and Games-Howell test was made. As a result of research, learning styles of the candidates of a balanced distribution, change-olds been found to have the highest number.
