Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the relationship between conflict resolution skills and leadership characteristics of gifted students. For this purpose, the relational screening model was utilized in the study. Conflict Resolution Skills Scale (Gürdoğan-Bayır & Gültekin, 2019) and Roets Leadership Evaluation Scale (Acar, 2007) were used to collect data during the research. For the sub-goals of the study, students' conflict resolution skills and leadership characteristics were examined according to gender and grade variables. The sample of the study consists of a total of 147 students enrolled in the Gifted Education Application and Research Center (ÜYEP) weekend and summer program. As a result of the study, it is seen that the scores of conflict resolution skills and leadership characteristics of gifted students are high and there is a significant, positive and moderate relationship between the examined characteristics. In addition, it was found that there was a significant difference in favor of girls in the students' conflict resolution skills in terms of resorting to compromise and resorting to violence.
