Abstract (EN)

It is an undeniable fact that technology advances with a developing, changing and rapidly growing knowledge accumulation on economic, cultural, social and educational structures. The effects of these changes and developments in the field of digital technology on education are also emerging rapidly. The change of education system and materials becomes obligatory due to the widening of the scope, the emergence of different facts and concepts, and the existence of new technological structures. The fact that special talented students have different characteristics compared to their peers makes it necessary for the educational activities of these students to also differ. It is important to determine the most appropriate teaching method that will meet the needs of gifted students. Different curricula and materials are needed to meet the learning needs of these students. It seems that more studies are needed to develop and evaluate the educational activities of these students with virtual environments. The fact that the researchers stated that the number of studies on the use of digital media in the teaching of gifted students is low in the literature indicates that academic studies related to the subject should be increased. In his current studies, it is seen that he focuses on secondary school level and science and language education. At the high school level, there is a very limited study in the literature. The number of studies carried out with gifted students on technological fields such as robotics, coding, and design is very low. Although there are new developments in the technological field every day, it is important to include the teaching of these technologies in the education of the gifted. In the teaching of these students, rather than the selection of theoretical tools and traditional teaching environments; It is important to develop digital-based applications that integrate learning theories and specific domain frameworks, processes and student active participation. In addition to an individual and exploratory education, personalization of learning paths, study and communication tools can be achieved, through the use of appropriate technologies, by creating an environment that increases the motivation of gifted students and enhances their learning potential, activating their interests and improving their metacognitive abilities. The aim of this study is; It aims to design, develop and apply a simulation-based virtual application to be used in robotic technologies education for gifted high school students.
