The study of children's literature books of Özgür Balpınar in terms of Turkish vocabulary elements

In this study, Özgür Balpınar's works of children's literature were studied in terms of vocabulary elements. In this study, "proverbs, compound verbs, idioms, reduplications, relationship words" were identified as subcategories of vocabulary elements. It is aimed to show how often and at what level these vocabulary elements are reflected. The vocabulary elements of 8 books that Balpınar wrote in the genre of stories in the field of children's literature were analyzed by content analysis method. The analyzed elements are listed in alphabetical order separately for the studied book. Also, tables showing the frequencies and percentages of the vocabulary elements of each book studied are included. It was concluded that Balpınar included various vocabulary elements in the children's literature works studied. It has been identified that among the detected vocabulary elements, it includes idioms or compound verbs in the first place, then reduplications, then relationship words, and at least proverbs.As a result of the study, it was concluded that children should be introduced to the works of children's literature by Özgür Balpınar, that the vocabulary of children who read these books will increase, their expression skills will improve, they can better appreciate the subtleties of Turkish, in short, they will enjoy their mother tongue.
