Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to removal of dissolvel organic matter (DOC) from humic acid (HA) solution and Porsuk Lake Water by ozonation and ozonation-biofiltration processes. Bench scale experimental studies were conducted at different humic acid concentration (10, 25, 50 mg/L) and different ozone dosages in ozonation reactor, aiming humic acid degradation. Same processes were replicated in Porsuk Lake Water at seven ozone dosages. Raw and Ozonated Porsuk lake water were fed to biofitration column which have three different pack material ( sand, granular activated carbon and zeolite) at two different contact times (15, 30 minutes) and were investigated effect on removal of naturel organic matter (NOM) and disinfection by product (DBP). The results were evaluated UV254, SUVA (Specific Ultraviole Absorbance at 254 nm), DOC that specify organic matter, VIS400, THMFP (Trihalomethane Formation Potential) and HAAFP (Haloacetic acid Formation Potential).Ozonated porsuk water is better than raw porsuk water at the removal of NOM and DBP in biofiltration system. However, because of the small differences of these system, only biofiltration system is sufficient in removal of NOM and DBP.
