Usage of internet on selection the hospital in the pandemic periods: Case of Sultan II. Abdülhamġd Han Sample Training and Research Hospital

This study was carried out to examine internet usage habits in the context of health communication during pandemic periods and to evaluate the current changes in the seprocesses. There search was conducted on 246 people who came to get health service in Sultan Abdülhamid Han Sample Training and Research Hospital. Purpose of collecting the data, the question naire form was used. Thes cale of the question naire, which consists of 125 items in total, was applied to the participantsusing the face-to-face in report technique. Regarding the descriptive statistics of the statements and regarding the demographic characteristics of internet user sand the effect of the internet and social media on hospital preferences; frequencyvalues, Standard deviations, mean values, and percentage values were determined. After this stage, t-testsand Anova tests were applied to see if there was any difference between the groups. During the pandemic period, in patient services, web pages and social accounts of the hospital, userc omments, news and videos about the hospital were in tenselyre search edamong the subjects that were researched using the internet before the hospital selection, and this rate reached approximately 80%. The fact that of the first place in determining the health behavior and hospital preference of the person is the information obtained from the internet and social media, the in stitution's shares on the internet are sufficient and explanatory, the rate of participant's interest shave borne to the post which related with health on the social media while the pandemic period and this increased ratio were concentrated in the middle age group.
